Design a whole installation, not one circuit at a time
Draw the network. CurrentProof calculates every circuit in it against BS 7671, and shows the working behind each result.
What you draw
Sources, distribution and loads on one canvas. A supply, a transformer or a generator at the origin. Switchboards, distribution boards and busbar trunking below it. Loads, motors and on site generation at the ends. Connect them and the network is defined. There is no limit on how deep the tree goes, how many boards it holds, or how far it branches.
What it calculates
Results update as you draw.
Per board, on the drawing itself: maximum prospective fault current, earth fault loop impedance, voltage drop, and maximum fault current including any on site generation.
Per final circuit, with the working behind each one: overload, voltage drop, earth fault loop impedance, disconnection time, breaking capacity, protective conductor sizing, adiabatic, and concealment and RCD requirements.
Per generation point: voltage rise.
The origin
Declare the earth fault loop impedance at the origin if the distributor has given it to you, or declare a transformer's resistance and reactance if you know them. CurrentProof takes it from there.
What you get out
A verdict on the installation and a register of every item in it. Results painted onto the single line diagram, so a failing circuit is highlighted where you drew it. The full working behind any circuit result you open. And a PDF carrying the single line diagram, the source, the board schedule, the circuit schedule, surge protection, generation and a compliance summary.
No cap on the job
Other design packages price by the size of the design, and some base licences cap a project at 25 boards. CurrentProof puts no cap on the number of boards or circuits in a design.
