About CurrentProof
BS 7671 design calculations with the working shown, built by an engineer who designs to the standard.
Who builds it
CurrentProof is built by a qualified electrical engineer registered with the IET. The calculations, the articles and the decisions about what the tool will and will not claim all come from the same engineer.
Why it exists
Electrical design calculations still live in spreadsheets and manual table lookups, where a value read from the wrong table or a correction factor left out is hard to spot and harder to prove. CurrentProof replaces them with a calculation engine that follows BS 7671 Appendix 4 and cites the table and equation behind every value, so whoever checks the design can follow the working.
How it works
Every result shows its full working and the reference for each step, calculated to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. When a check cannot be evaluated, the result says so rather than reporting a pass. When BS 7671 is amended, the tables and references are updated to match.
Who it is for
UK electrical engineers working in rail, telecoms, building services and renewables, who design to BS 7671 and need a calculation they can hand to a checker.
